Please note: as this is an apprenticeship, all applicants must be employed in a legal environment to complete this course.
The CILEx Level 3 Paralegal Apprenticeship is made up of:
- Ethics, professionalism, and legal systems
- Client care and legal research skills
- Law and practice in a field related to the work of the Apprentice
- Administrative duties and working with others in a legal environment.
To achieve the Level 3 Paralegal Apprenticeship you must study the mandatory content as shown above. Students will also be given the opportunity to work towards one of the following professional qualifications by studying for a unit from one the following:
- CILEx CPQ Foundation Level
- Council for Licensed Conveyancers Level 4 Conveyancing Technician
- Council for Licensed Conveyancers Level 4 Probate Technician
Undertaking this option will give those wishing to become fully qualified fee earners accredited status with either CILEx or CLC a head start on their chosen career in the legal sector.
How is the course delivered?
The course is delivered via blended learning with taught sessions, telephone, video link and elearning support from personal tutors, all of whom are professionally qualified and have been in practice. An Apprenticeship requires the full support of the employer and all apprentices must hold an appropriate job role to commence on programme
What are the entry requirements?
A minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade C or equivalent, including English and Mathematics.
How is the Apprenticeship assessed?
The method of assessment by CILEx is via an End Point Assessment, where apprentices will submit a portfolio of evidence compiled during the course, complete two scenario-based test and undertake an interview with a CILEx appointed End Point Assessor.
For those undertaking a unit from the CILEx CPQ or CLC programmes these are assessed separately and details of these assessments are available once a choice of route has been made.
How long is the Apprenticeship?
The programme will typically last for 2 years.
What are the costs?
